10. Patta x Nike: Waves not Cycles
Hundreds of sneaker fans queue for. Hours on the Australia School Email Lists Zeedijk in Amsterdam for the new, exclusive Nike Air Max sneakers. Some sneakerheads. Even stood in the cold for 24 hours waiting for their chance to buy a pair.
I’m talking about the Air Max 1 Wave, born from the latest collaboration between Patta and Nike. The shoe is inspire by the authentic bond between the Amsterdam brand and the Air Max community. The release was further supplemente with a series of short films ‘The Wave’, a fine example of storytelling.
The sneakers and films feature thematic references to the cultural shifts and lasting impact Patta has on her community, as a standalone black-owne company basd in Amsterdam for over 17 years. Recently, the Patta Foundation was establishd to promote the cultural education of young people and aspiring entrepreneurs.
9. Holland Heineken (t)Home: Tokyo 2020
Were you also so disappointe last year that all major sporting events were cancelld? Fortunately, the European Championship and the Olympic Games were able to continue this corona year. It was a sports summer in modifid form, though. But this was creatively responded to with various marketing campaigns from major sponsors.
Take Heineken, for example, who was unable to pay tribute to the medal winners of TeamNL during the Olympic Games in the Holland Heineken House in Tokyo due to the corona measures. To continue the tradition, they celebratd the celebration close to home this year in the Holland Heineken (t)Huis on the beach in The Hague. Pluses for the pun.
